Manager of Operations

Responsible for water distribution pipelines as well as related systems and facilities. Duties include directing the operations, maintenance and repairs of the water distribution system, meter reading, staffing, inventory, budget development, administration and related activities. This position has the responsibility for making decisions relating to water distribution, water quality and operational efficiency. The work requires that the employee have considerable knowledge, skill and ability in the technology of utility, construction or public works engineering and maintenance. Duties also include directing the maintenance and repair of District parks, buildings and facilities.

Requires high school diploma with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible previous experience that includes utility, construction or public works engineering or maintenance including three (3) years of supervisory and/or managerial experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
